Caffeine is a natural stimulant commonly found in tea, coffee, and chocolate for centuries. It can prevent the onset of tiredness and keep you alert. There are a multitude of studies that say that caffeine may lower the risk of depression, increase metabolism and fat-burning, and even protect against heart disease and diabetes when consumed in moderation.*
Caffeine is Not always My Friend
Some of us just do not tolerate caffeine as well as others. You might need to limit or eliminate caffeine to get better sleep, reduce acid reflux and heartburn, lessen anxiety, lower blood pressure, get fewer headaches, stay better hydrated, be careful of possible drug interactions, or stay away for religious beliefs.

I am one the unlucky few with a caffeine sensitivity with even decaf coffee and chocolate causing a reaction.
